From The Continental Club newsletter, Continental Confidential, Volume XII, Issue 7.3:

Saturday December 27 @ 10:00. $10 – With a fabulous lineup of Eve Monsees (guitar, vocals), Mike Buck (drums, vocals), Pat Collins (bass, vocals), Homer Henerson (guitar, vocals), and Donna Pearl (maracas, vocals), Eve & The Exiles revel in garage rock, with just the right amount of roots & blues thrown in to make it oh-so Austin! “Old Austin” is well-represented by one of the best blues rock outfits, Bill Carter & The Blame w/Denny Freeman and Charlie Sexton! Bill Carter has long been a renowned songwriter along his wife, Ruth Ellsworth. Stevie Ray Vaughan added Carter/Ellsworth compositions such as “Willie The Wimp” and “Crossfire” to his repertoire, and “Why Get Up?” was included on The Fabulous Thunderbirds’ Tuff Enuff album. Bill’s special guests, Denny Freeman & Charlie Sexton, are both hometown heroes and long-time members of the loosely configured Blame. They also share the pedigree of playing guitar for Bob Dylan. Pretty impressive, wouldn’t you say? Come early, stay late! It’s worth it.”
